More than 180 companies and cooperatives from the province of Cabo Delgado have confirmed their participation in the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair – FACIM 2024, at the Ricatla International Fair and Exhibition Centre, located in the district of Marracuene, Maputo province, in the south of the country.
The event, organised by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, through the Agency for the Promotion of Investment and Exports (APIEX), will take place from 26 August to 01 September.
According to the head of the Trade Department in Cabo Delgado, Ema Jamissse, preparations are well underway and all 17 districts in the province are already organising to exhibit their products and services.
‘Everything is fine, we have the participation of 180 companies, some of which will come physically or in person and others will send products,’ she said, quoted by local portal Zumbo FM Notícias.
According to the government, the fair is a platform for exchange and co-operation and will feature a range of activities including exhibitions, seminars, promotion sessions and contact exchanges.
Taking place under the slogan ‘Industrialisation: Innovation and Diversification of the National Economy’, this edition will showcase the country’s potential for production and exports, as well as promoting business and investment opportunities in the various segments of economic activity.
