Mozambique Airlines (LAM) begins flights this Friday (30) connecting Maputo and Lusaka, Zambia, with a stopover in Harare, Zimbabwe.
“The start of flights to Lusaka is part of the strategy of including the capitals of Southern African countries in LAM’s destinations,” the company said in a statement.
In this region, the airline currently links Maputo and Johannesburg, as well as Maputo and Harare, in addition to Pemba and Dar es Salaam.
The new route will be operated using Embraer aircraft.
The flights will be operated on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays, with departure from Maputo scheduled for 12.30pm and arrival in Lusaka at 3.50pm. From Lusaka, flights will depart at 4.30pm and arrive in Maputo at 7.50pm.
