Mozambique Airlines (LAM) is setting up teams in different areas of the state-owned company to work on restructuring the company, whose management has since Tuesday been supported by consultancy firm Fly Modern Ark (FMA).
“Since 18 April, the management of our flagship company has been supported by an international consulting firm, FMA-Fly Modern Ark,” reads a statement issued on Friday by LAM, in line with the announcement made on Tuesday by Transport Minister Mateus Magala.
Friday’s statement gives a few more details, stressing that the aim is the “restructuring of the company, improving its efficiency”.
“For this purpose, work teams are being set up in the different areas in order to bring solutions for decision making that will contribute value to the company,” the document said.
The teams will work “to develop measures focused on reducing costs, stabilising operations and increasing revenues,” it concluded.
