TAAG Angola Airlines today received its third Boeing 787 “Dreamliner,” marking the first 787-10 model to join its aircraft fleet, the Angolan airline announced.
In a press release, TAAG emphasized that the new aircraft was received at António Agostinho Neto International Airport, noting that its inclusion, under a leasing arrangement, reflects “the ambitious process of fleet modernization and renewal — a critical success factor in TAAG’s transformation journey.”
The aircraft has a capacity for 367 passengers — 24 in business class and 343 in economy class — and joins the two Boeing 787-9 aircraft that were added earlier this year to the airline’s fleet.
According to the statement, “the Boeing 787-10 represents a more modern and advanced version of the Dreamliner family, and in addition to offering greater passenger and cargo capacity, it also ensures optimized fuel efficiency, underscoring TAAG’s commitment to environmental sustainability through a significant reduction in harmful gas emissions into the atmosphere.”
With the addition of this new aircraft, TAAG aims not only to strengthen connectivity for long-haul destinations but also to support the exploration of new routes, as outlined in the airline’s 2024–2029 Strategic Plan.
