The sealing of domestically produced beer will start next month in the country. The sealing of beer marks the third phase of the implementation of the sealing process for manufactured tobacco and beverages, which began in 2017 in the country.
The general coordinator of the Implementation Unit of the sealing project at the Mozambique Tax Authority (AT) said that in February 2022 the production and importation of beer without a tax control seal will begin.
Miguel Nhane, who was speaking Monday in Maputo at a press conference to assess the 1st and 2nd phases of implementation of the sealing process for manufactured tobacco and alcoholic beverages, also said that as of August, 2022 the circulation of these unsealed products would be prohibited.
According to Miguel Nhane the fight against the falsification of the tax control seal is still a challenge.
Facing this situation, the Tax Authority ensures that it is making efforts to mitigate the falsification of the stamp.
