The Mozambique–Japan Business Forum will take place on June 16, 2025, in the city of Osaka, Japan. The event is organised by the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX, IP), in partnership with the Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) and the Mozambique Chamber of Commerce (CCM).
According to a statement released by APIEX on Thursday, June 12, the main objective of the Forum is to “promote investment opportunities in strategic sectors for the country’s development,” with a particular focus on areas such as agriculture and agribusiness, industry, energy, tourism, and infrastructure, among others, where Mozambican businesses can establish partnerships.
The initiative serves as a key platform to enhance Mozambique’s image as a preferred destination for Foreign Direct Investment in Africa. The event is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and deepen the bonds of friendship and cooperation between Mozambique and Japan, encouraging the development of commercial ties between companies from both countries.
It is also worth noting that the Business Forum will be held on the sidelines of Mozambique’s participation in Expo 2025 Osaka, which is taking place in the same Japanese city.
