The Agency for the Promotion of Investments and Exports (APIEX), in partnership with the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), has announced the launch of a process to map and register exporting companies and providers of export services in Mozambique.
According to information shared with DE, this initiative is part of the ‘Promote Trade’ project, the aim of which is to strengthen the competitiveness of national exports and increase the presence of Mozambican companies on international markets.
According to the press release, the process aims to identify and register exporting companies and those aspiring to enter the global market. As well as providing essential services such as logistics, certification and transport, the aim is to create an official, up-to-date and comprehensive database that will strengthen the visibility of Mozambican companies among investors, business partners and international organisations, promoting new business opportunities and greater integration into global trade.
‘Registered companies will have access to a series of benefits. These include inclusion in the official database of Mozambican exporters, participation in international fairs and events, greater visibility in global markets and access to strategic information on new markets and business opportunities,’ APIEX emphasised.
The organisation stressed that interested companies should fill in the registration form available online on the official APIEX portal. ‘The form requires detailed information on the company’s profile, the products exported and the services offered. The deadline for submitting expressions of interest is 30 November 2024.’
