The Director-General of the Investment and Export Promotion Agency (APIEX), Luís Machava, paid a working visit on Tuesday (March 3) to the headquarters of the Agência Nacional de Desenvolvimento da Guiné Equatorial (ANDGE) in Malabo, as part of efforts to strengthen institutional cooperation in promoting trade and investment between the two countries.
According to an official statement, the visit was made at the invitation of the head of ANDGE and forms part of a programme of institutional engagements aimed at deepening collaboration mechanisms between the two agencies responsible for attracting investment and promoting exports.
During the meeting, the parties reviewed cooperation opportunities in strategic areas for economic development, with particular emphasis on promoting bilateral investment, strengthening trade exchanges and sharing institutional experience in business facilitation.
A technical team from Agência para a Promoção de Investimento e Exportações (APIEX), led by Luís Machava, is currently in Equatorial Guinea to finalise the terms of the cooperation framework between the two agencies. The process is expected to culminate in the signing of a memorandum of understanding scheduled for Friday (March 6).
The agreement is set to establish formal grounds for the exchange of economic information, the joint promotion of investment opportunities and the facilitation of business initiatives between Mozambican and Equatoguinean economic operators.
