The District of Nampula, is establishing itself as a new industrial park with the emergence of economic and social enterprises that are leveraging its development.
Elevated to the category of district in the year 2014, besides emerging in the massive production of vegetables and cattle, the region stands out in the breeding of broilers and laying hens.
Speaking to the press, the Governor of the province, Manuel Rodrigues, praised the work that some investors are doing to create more jobs.
Such initiatives consist in the installation of new industries that, in their majority, employ young people and women, namely cashew nut processing factories, production of soft drinks and juices, as well as the plastic industry, which is dedicated to the production of buckets and other materials.
“In these visits we get the impression that this territorial unit is not only truly industrial, but also has a musculature in the agricultural part, in addition to livestock breeding where some cattle, goat and poultry breeders stand out,” he said.
