Mozambique and Malawi intend to start implementing, in a pilot phase, a simplified Border Agricultural Trade regime.
The initiative aims to facilitate customs clearance of goods and boost multiple gains for both countries, despite the effects of the El-Niño phenomenon.
The desire to facilitate border trade was expressed this Friday in the Ile district by the director of the Zambezia Governor’s Office, Rafique Rassul, during the launch of the 2024 Agricultural Marketing Campaign.
Rafique Rassul urged those involved in the marketing chain to work towards achieving the three million tonnes of various agricultural products planned for the current campaign.
The Director of the Zambezia Governor’s Office warns the population to reserve water and food products for consumption, due to a possible food shortage that is expected as a result of the El-Niño phenomenon.
