FACIM 2024: Frutas de Revué Seek Partners to Expand National and International Markets

At the 59th edition of the Maputo International Fair (FACIM), Agropecuária Frutas de Revué, represented by Pedro Paulino, founding member and owner, is taking part in the fair with the aim of attracting partnerships and investors for its brands, both nationally and internationally, according to a statement released by the event’s organisers.

According to the document, the company began its activity with the production of fruit for export, such as mangoes and lychees, and in 2022 expanded its production capacity with the construction of a fruit processing unit in the city of Chimoio.

This unit, which is already in operation, is dedicated to processing mangoes, pineapples, oranges and dehydrated ginger, according to the document.

The company also plans to diversify its production for the local market, including the manufacture of juices, although this process is at an early stage.

Challenges and opportunities in expansion

The FACIM press release emphasises that Frutas de Revué is facing considerable challenges in its expansion process, especially with regard to the infrastructure and packaging phases, which are essential for the commercialisation of its products.

The company is looking for viable solutions to improve packaging in order to guarantee the preservation of product quality during transport and storage, critical factors for its success in foreign markets.

In addition, the document mentions that Frutas de Revué is looking for suppliers of materials and equipment that can support the improvement of the packaging process. The company believes that taking part in FACIM can facilitate contact with strategic partners who can help achieve these objectives.

Participation in FACIM and expectations of growth

This is Frutas de Revué’s second participation in FACIM, according to the press release. In 2023, the company brought products such as dehydrated fruit and juices, looking to expand its network of contacts. ‘We’re here to find some potential partners, both within borders and across borders,’ quotes the document, which also highlights the interest shown by African companies looking for dehydrated fruit.

The FACIM organisers also point out that Frutas de Revué sees the fair as an opportunity to improve the visibility of its brand and establish new commercial partnerships.

According to the press release, the company is evaluating this year’s edition positively, considering that the event has seen a greater diversity of exhibitors and a significant flow of visitors, especially during the fair’s working days.

Evaluation of the event and the company’s future

In its press release, Frutas de Revué expressed its satisfaction with the results obtained so far at FACIM. ‘We have noticed an increase in interest in our products, and we believe that the fair is fulfilling its role of bringing companies and investors together,’ the document points out. The company hopes that its participation in the event will help consolidate its position in the local and international market.
